Swan Architects were commissioned to replace a modest two storey dwelling in a highly documented conservation area with this 9200sqft house.

This new Arts & Crafts house makes the most of the sites topography, being two storey to the front and three storey to the rear. The additional lower ground floor offers a leisure wing with indoor swimming pool opening out to the garden.

Whilst the house is predominately of traditional design, using a high quality of handmade and natural materials, there are elements of more contemporary design to the rear using large expanses of glass, aluminium and zinc.
